| A male in our line had DNA testing |
|
First as suspected there was Euro up to 80%. But we did find there was 20% Native American. On my mother's side of my line I knew we had Native American but now we find that on our father's side there is 20%. This is interesting, because there was never anything said that there might be Native American in his line. Now I can't wait til I get the results of my mDNA.

| 2. Family Tree DNA has the least costly |
|
I would like to find an older male in our line to do this. My nephew did some kind of test that has his father and mothers mixed and it is expensive. I wouldn't want that kind. I would want just the YDNA because it gives you the direct line. The mtDNA which is available for women gives you the break down of the ethenic groups etc. I think that one is $159 and the YDNA is $129 but it has been a while since I have been there.

and were living in Oklahoma prior to 1889, it is almost a certainty that your would have NA genes. It was called Indian Territory back then.
