I have several ancestors whose census records place them as living in beats, such as Beat 10, Pike County, Alabama.
I can't find any resource that tells me where these beats would be in modern terms. Any help is appreciated.

google beat alabama map 1850 (or whatever date you're looking for) this site might have what you need http://alabamamaps.ua.edu/historicalmaps/counties/pike/pike.html
