I know this is your forum and mean no disrespect, but I hope you will allow me to post one OP here.
I posted this earlier in response to an OP in GD-P, but you know how things get buried. I wanted to be sure the people it was meant for saw it... and that's you guys.

To Bill and Hillary's supporters, I'm sorry I ever doubted that they would do what's best for the country.
Many of their primary campaign statements/actions still bother me. My criticisms of those actions and statements, I still feel are valid.
But my (and others) speculation about them undermining Barack at the convention or trying to pull a coup was proved 110% wrong. They stepped up. They took the high road. They put the party and the nation before themselves. They set aside personal feelings and broken dreams and did what was right. They were bigger people than I could have possibly expected.
They delivered and delivered big. I hope their supporters will too. I believe most are or will. As for the rest, I don't think anything more can be done to win them over. If those speeches from Hill and Bill weren't enough to turn them around, I don't think anything could.
Again, thank you Bill and Hillary. Thank you Clinton supporters who have gotten over a tough tough loss and have come to support Barack. I hope this can put the period of primary divisiveness behind us for good and I look forward to being a better, more accepting partner with you in the fight to reclaim our country.

They reminded me of why I loved the Big Dog and defended Hill and Bill for so many years. I never was a "hater". Being critical of actions or statements is different than blind hate... at least with me. But speculating about them dividing the convention was criticism misplaced.
I was wrong and I apologize.
And I apologize for my part in the divisiveness overall. I hope you accept my apology and that we can take steps to come together.
Thanks for indulging me. I now return you to your regularly scheduled forum.

"If those speeches from Hill and Bill weren't enough to turn them around, I don't think anything could" just after saying that "Many of their (Clinton) primary campaign statements/actions still bother me".
It sounds to me you have set yourself up as the judge and jury all in one post.
Please pass the salt - - - there are plenty of more wounds to be rubbed.

1) I MEANT that Hill and Bill's speeches were so moving, so logical, and outlined so clearly and precisely why they support Obama, I don't think anyone else could make such a convincing argument to their supporters. Those speeches moved me to tears. If they can't win over the remaining hold outs, who possibly could?
2) I do disagree with some of their statements/actions from the primary. But then again, I disagree with some things that Barack has done too, like voting for FISA. Yes, I still disagree with them on smaller, less important things, but overall, I am really sorry I ever doubted their commitment to the party and the country. We are all part of the Democratic family and DESPITE many differences of opinions, we are all on the same team, working hard for the same issues.
You can take my post as rubbing salt in the wound or judgment if you want to. But that's not at all what I meant. Not even one iota.

Could it be the new majority is beginning to realize something of a truth? He can't do it without their help and they figure they don't need ours !
The republicans create a brand new shining star and suddenly it is realized ,maybe just maybe it's not all about them.
Or maybe bashing is soooo much fun,so intense, they just got carried off with it, that's all !
And Obama is trying to convince the nation it's about all kinds of people coming together.
Indeed, We All Make Mistakes, no apologies necessary. No secret plan on Hillary and Bill's part eh.
Brilliant just brilliant.
