Am I the only person here who wants to take to the streets? |
|
I am 63 and once again an angry feminist. I knew going in that supporting Hillary would open up some old wounds and old feelings around gender issues. I did not expect to feel this betrayed by my country (again).
I told a friend today that I want to go to a national convention for 3, 5 or 7 days and rant about the media and how few women are in the right positions in our courts and our national and state legislatures. I have the time and the means. I am pissed. Any ideas?

I'm sick of us just watching from the sidelines as we as women are being hung out to dry.

I am so peeved at Obama for being sexist, ageist and homophobic. I am disgusted with his supporters who are nothing but a bunch of over-wrought juvenile wankers. They have no idea that we have been pushed beyond our limits. They (being stupid and with no historical perspective) don't get the importance of the Democratic party and the necessity of the participation of older females in the day to day party process.
If Hillary is not the nominee - this November for the first time in 36 years I won't spend the day out front of a polling place pushing my candidate.

I was convinced tonight, that more than ever, the 'good ol' boy network' is alive and well. They would rather promote an inexperienced junior senator than support an experienced, former First Lady for the Party's nomination. The sad way that he has to basically offer a watered down version of her proposals and is let get away with it is pathetic. The media is definitely biased against Hillary and have treated her with no respect whatsoever.

MAD AS HELL!
Not sure about taking to the streets. And, I guess that could be our achille's heel.
Cuz you know Obama's supporters will take to the streets if they don't get what they want.
Aw, hell. Let's do it!

I'm 33 and I hope in another 30 years I have just as much fire as you do!
Right now I'll keep doing what I can from my little neck of the woods. I just don't have the money or the time to do much. (I'm a single mother and I receive no child support. You can guess how well that's going for me and my daughter.) I wish I could do more but...
I just wanted to thank you for everything you plan on doing. Someday I hope that I can do the same.
