Julia carson's seat up for grabs in Indiana |
|
Ms Carson passed away a few months ago and 3 contenders stepped forward right away. I don't think Elrod(R) has a chance in hell, but her grandson Andre looks like a Shu in. Evan Bayh has been a strong supporter of Hillary and has backed her with his SD. If Ms Carson were alive she would have stood with Bayh, but Andre is a different story and it is certain he will back BO. After the votes are counted tonight I look for Andre to fully support BO.It should be noted that the winner will only fill Julia's seat until her term expires.

1. And how long until her term expires? |
|
He'll be there for the convention obviously but I'm curious when it does expire.

As ill as she was she was only elected in '06', I think. The news tonight will have all the particulars after the votes are counted.

3. I was just thinking about how turnabout is fair play. |

He wins, next election the people find someone a bit "friendlier", as the BO camp would say.

Andre will be on the ballot in November. Checked around and found this out. I had thought since Julia was elected in something like 06 that the timeframe would be longer. With Bayh's help he will be elected in the fall, hopefully Bayh will remind him that he is a SD for Hillary.
