| Obama's concession speech |
|
Today's speech had all the trappings of Obama's concession speech, he looked and sounded defeated. The body language screamed "I don't want to be here and I'm not sure I really want to say this" and the speech had a resignation and retread quality.
the tone of the speech SHOULD have been, "We are one people under one flag working together for a better world...I renounce the preachings of Rev. Wright but I embrace the beauty which his sermons used to convey to me..." but what we got was how are still racially retarded and need to work even harder to make things right with all different races. Well, you know what? I have no problem with how I'm getting along with my fellow americans regardless of their color whether it's in the workplace, at home or at my childrens' schools.
I felt guilty for all the good things that have happened. I don't want to feel guilty because Obama screwed up and didn't have the political smarts to distance himself from his "crazy uncle".
This is his concession speech because I suspect much of america will feel the same way and will not vote for Obama.

this is the day he became president. I tend to agree with you, this is and will continue to be viewed more like a concession speech by a wide swath of Americans. So far I've only spoken to two people in the outside world, and they were unimpressed, I'll be asking around some more later.

| 6. The blogs tell it all. They are quite negative about the speech, overall... |

| 9. it was said in gd-p that it was better than |
|
the gettysburg address or mlk's 'i have a dream.'
so now, in their dreams, this inexperienced but overly confident guy outranks mlk and lincoln.
when they crash, it;s really gonna hurt. even if he actually becomes potus, which i don't think he will, they'll crash when they see he's not all they thought he was.
never expect too much from a politician unless you enjoy disappointment.

Many African-Americans are upset at being portrayed as angry and as being equivalent to Rev. Wright.

| 8. I'm calling it Obama's "Rock and a Hard Place" speech. |
|
I've marched and worked for civil rights for 40 years, and Obama stabbed me in the back today.
He had a chance to win me over, but he chose to attack.
Sad day for me.
