Obama supporters are going down a very dangerous path by siding with "G-D Damn, America!" |

Edited on Tue Mar-18-08 01:08 PM by goldcanyonaz
From what I've read on the main forum, the majority of Obama supporters believe that we brought 9/11 upon ourselves. That it was payback for our policies in the Middle East.
Don't they realize that the majority of America does not share this viewpoint? Or are that that entrenched in their support that they can't see reality?
I care about National Security, but as soon as you mention it to them, you're labeled as some sort of warmonger.
Your thoughts?

2. It is utterly assinine to expect that patriotic Americans will fall into |

line and blame the USA for the world's ills. I like to have a reasoned discussion as much as the next liberal on how we can improve our standing in the world through better actions, BUT I would never in a million years ascribe 9/11 to some deserved blowback. And if by some perverted chance, I DID, if I were running for President, I sure as hell wouldn't want to suggest that in any way, manner, or form. These Obama supporters think they are cleverly defending their man's racism and anti-Americanism, but they are only speaking inside a gigantic echo chamber. Outside, the weather is very stormy for Team Obama.

3. I'm a Hillary supporter all the way and I can't stand BO but I have |

to say that we have been to pro-Israel. Whenever Israel attacks another country we defend them. They have attacked and killed so many innocent Palestinians, and I'm afraid they are going to get us into another war. In the UN we defend them for everything usually the only country that does. I think the US does need to take a more even handed approach in the middle-east. And I think many Jews in the US need to decide if they are American or Israeli.

4. National security is a bigger issue |

than most posters on DU care to admit. It generally ranks consistently in the top 5 things that voters are concerned about. If you mention it here you are indeed labled as a warmonger and a fear monger.
