elderberry wine is so sweet
a thousand miles of open road
travelling all night to find
a way back home
stand-ins walk for miles
together until it hits
past the tough-talking fishnet
and neon afterburn danger
we got hit by a car
and floated away
turned away everywhere
we finally found light
and fell apart.
i freed the sisters
ate a whole brick
two hours later
my matrix was pulsing
need to send warning
but i cannot stand
a vast black rock coming
an hour away
some other terrible
i won’t survive
i hop to this thread
where i’m still alive
but different.
