| In My life...a comunity project |
|
I just thought it would be fun to try this. You are invited to add to this poem that I have started In any way or style you like. I have started it out below:
In my life I have seen time go by like a ship rigged for bad whether Tossing sometimes one way or the other. It‘s hull straining and creaking, but never breaching. Against a grievous sea.
In my life I have see a cold war That promised only great horror And old men trying to say that peace is fragile but we could beat them if we dare. And missals pointed everywhere Duck and cover we were told And those of us not very old Wondered why the sea was angry.
We liked Ike As much as a bike That took us too the fair We wondered why The open sky was so full of fear.
And the music came And with it’s Elvis fame Drew us all away Little Anthony and little Richard Jan and Dean and Everly brothers The Father Son and Holy Ghost Caught the trade winds too the coast.
And in my life….....
