Is anyone else here in EA? |
|
Hi, I'm Critters and I'm powerless over my emotions.
I realized tonight that I need to go back on the program. I've found a meeting in my town. Wish there were more than one, but I'll do this one.
And just knowing that I'm going made me feel better, more relaxed. In fact, just saying I'm powerless was a great relief.
Thank you.

I have not been to EA before, but I have often wondered if I should add it to my recovery.

2. I've been to EA and it was very helpful. I have a lot of A's under my belt. |
|
I think the best program for me was "Recovery Inc" It is on the net and there are meetings in just about every city. It is definitely not for everyone but I would suggest a look.
I think having support of any kind is great!

7. Yeah, it has. I was surprised at how helpful it was |
|
when I was in a really bad depression. I'd tried everything...meds, hospitalization, talk therapy. Ultimately, a combination of regular EA meetings, working the steps, a good sponsor and cognitive behavioral therapy pulled me out of the depression. And I think the EA stuff was as helpful as the CBT. I've recently started going back to EA because of some real stressors in my life, and it is SOOO good to say "I'm Critters, and I'm powerless over my emotions" again. I find it very freeing to admit I'm not in charge of everything.
Any more questions, feel free to ask!
