Why on EARTH would anyone want to ROB an
AA meeting full of drunks in various stages of
withdrawal/recovery?!

2. I read that story

and it reminded me of a guy that drove a local group nuts because he insisted on having his gun with him when he came to the meeting though the meeting place didn't permit guns. The poor guy is a Viet Nam vet and there are some, shall we say, unresolved issues on his plate so the group was NOT comfortable. Fortunately he decided to attend another meeting.

Living in Kentucky, I can sure see what happened in South Carolina happening here. There are some guys here I would NOT want to mess with, and we have conceal and carry.

This is kind of like the left side of my home group. It was funny, during the election my home group wordlessly seemed to gradually form up with the Republicans on the right side of the room and the Democrats on the left. It wasn't even conscious! It just seemed to happen. We are back to mingling again thank goodness. Nothing that some gooey sweet birthday/anniversary cake and some fresh drunks won't solve in a meeting. ;)
