What recovery literature do you read, if any? |
|
Being in AA, I read the Big Book and the Grapevine regularly.
Do other recorvery paths (MM, RR, etc. ) have books?

1. I read the AA Big Book |
|
The Twelve by Twelve (Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of AA) The Basic Text of Narcotics Anonymous
An excellent resource for Twelve step related literature is the Hazelden Foundation - they publish literally hundreds of titles related to addiction and recovery.

5. Big book and the 12 by 12 |
|
Dr. Bob and the Good Old Timers, AA comes of age and the grapevine. The new Experience, Stenghth and Hope. Some of the Hazelton stuff. My favorite big book story is the the first one from the first edition. We get all the recovery related literature from a second hand store we go too, so I've got quite a few book that I'll kind of browse through if they're not too nuts. (like that one from Susan Powter)
I have the Rational Recovery book somewhere, but I only read parts of it.
My attic, sadly, is full of big books collected from second hand stores, with many signatures, phone numbers and the traditional highlighed parts. All full of hope. All discarded.
