Frequency of weigh-in; scale recommendation (for home use)? |
|
My wife tells me that I'm only supposed to weigh myself once a week. True?
Secondly, does anybody have any recommendations for a reasonably-priced accurate scale for home use?

1. It really depends on your psychological reaction to weighing yourself. |

I mean, your weight can swing 3 to 4 pounds just on water weight. So I think a lot of the programs, especially Weight Watchers, recommend weekly weigh in because they don't want you to weigh every day, go up a pound, get discouraged, and eat a lot.
But me, I weigh every morning. I have a Tanita scale. It has a % bodyfat monitor but I have doubts about its accuracy. Not the scale, the bodyfat monitor. But, mine is about 10 years old and I suspect they have improved a lot.
