Anyone else try this fitness DVD series? My friend said she lost most of her post baby weight by doing those DVDs and Weight Watchers, so I decided to give them a try. I bought several of the DVDs, and I have been doing them 5 days a week for about 4 weeks now, and I love them! I already can feel my body tightening up. At first I was a little skeptical as to how I was going to walk indoors, but really what you do is more like marching, with a variety of other steps (such as kicks, sidesteps, and knee-lifts) thrown in. Some of the DVDs also have you use 2 lb. weights (I just use cans of soup or beans as my "weights" :-)), so you can get some toning out of these DVDs as well. So the title really is a bit deceptive...the DVDs are actually more like low impact aerobics, rather than just walking, but the most important thing is that they really are fun, and not at all discouraging.
I have been wanting (and needing) to get into a regular exercise routine for a long time now, but until I found WATP, I couldn't get into a groove. I think I may have finally found that groove, though. So I just wanted to share my discovery, in case anyone else was looking for a fun new way get fit. :hi:

but I think you can probably get them someplace like Best Buy too.
Thanks for the "congrats." :-) It is nice to finally have found a way of getting fit that I really believe I can stick to. I've tried other workouts and I usually get so discouraged that I give up. But there are a variety of these DVDs (1 mile, 2 mile, 3 mile, etc. plus others that mix in jogging and kickboxing to the walking routine) so you can gradually work up to different levels of difficulty, and there is enough variety that you won't easily get bored.

I just ordered Leslie Sansone - Walk Away the Pounds (Get Up and Get Started 1 Mile / High Calorie Burn 2 Miles) It's only 9.99 on Amazon.
Thanks for the heads up on that, I'm going to give it a try!
