This was my first week on Jenny Craig, tuesday-sunday and I'm down 3.4 lbs. :bounce: After trying to diet on my own and seeing the scale go up, this is very encouraging.
I even made mistakes. The first 4 days when I thought I was following the program to the letter, I was accidently eating an extra snack..realized this when I started to run out of them. Then, I got invited out to eat TWICE this week. This tells me that I can enjoy food out as long as my day to day ROUTINE is healthy.
For the last month, I had been working out like a fiend..no changes in scale..this week..I did very little cardio and did mostly weights, so I'm very satisfied with this weigh-in.
How is everyone doing..it's getting quiet over here, how are you guys?? :)

As much as I believe in working out, I understand that 80 percent of weight loss comes through diet. So I'll still work out to stay in good physical condition but I've never lost weight due strictly to exercise. Like you, I find that my diet (WW) is pretty easy to live with so even though I don't get results like yours, I can be patient.
I'm still seeing results in clothing more than on the scales. For example, I bought a couple of sports bras a few months ago that are designed to be very snug in order to actually support me (38DD.) Well, I couldn't even get one on when I first got them. Yesterday, I decided to try again and it fit and felt very comfortable! So somehow, I'm slimming down without losing that much weight. :)
Keep up the good work and sharing your progress! :toast:

I agree that its definately important to both exercise and follow a eating plan at the same time. I've done one or the other at different points and neither of them work too well on their own. I started working out regularly around Christmas..and I've definately seen positive changes in my "tone" while the scale went up and down (but never lower than when I started!). Changes in clothing are always the best. :)
That's great that you're having success with WW. I have followed WW before and been successful. Looking back, I made absolutely no attempt to follow a maintenance plan..just went back to my old ways. Live and learn!

| 2. Kathleen that's SO encouraging! |
|
I'm glad it's working for you, even with the little mistakes. It's proof that you don't have to be so rigid that you cannot enjoy life ! Life can't be a continual 'diet', we have to adapt so our daily routine is manageable and enjoyable. You're well on your way now to a healthier living!!
Congrats on the 3.4!
:applause:
It has been quite here this past few weeks! I'm doing ok, lacking energy and freezing most of the time. I think my body needs to catch up with the massive weight loss I've experienced. It needs to get used to not having so much insulation. I wear undershirts, a shirt or sweater, a jacket and or one of my husbands overall shirts when I'm around the house and I STILL shiver  gotta laugh!
life IS good though.

for your encouragement, auntAgonist! :)
Cold from the weightloss..an interesting side effect! :7 The body is smart, I'm sure you'll adapt soon! I can identify with lacking energy..the first couple days on this lower calorie plan, I felt tired and was going to sleep earlier (in part just to go to bed before I got too hungry!!)
You're doing great. Stick with it and stay warm!! :+

| 3. How exciting, Kathleen04! |
|
To see the needle on that scale go down is SO exciting! It sounds like you have found a program that will work for you, and you can work with it too. That's really the key, isn't it? In spite of your mistakes, you still lost weight! I'll just bet you see a loss next week too, when you are following the program with no kinks!! :toast: :bounce: :headbang: :yourock: :woohoo: :applause:

| 8. Update: down -0.6 more |

4 lbs total. I got impatient and weighed on Saturday today though. :) I'm satisfied with this loss because I think I'm retaining water right now, I'm expecting a bigger dip next week.
