Gentle Giant -- I'm thinking about getting a bike like yours. |
|
Is yours the one that comes with a fan? I know you just got it but please let me know how you like it after you've tried it out a few times. Thanks! :hi:

my mother in law, has a little bike pedal thing, with resistance...she is diabetic, and she can pedal that, and watch tv, or do beadwork...:) You must really love DU, to want to exercise and post at the same time... :hi:

4. I just have a hard time doing one thing at a time. |
|
I can't just sit and watch TV, for example. I'm always on this board or my other boards or reading news or grading papers or folding laundry . . . I get ancy doing one thing at a time. That's why I get so bored with exercise, even if I'm watching TV. But if I could watch TV, surf the net, AND exercise at the same time -- that would be ideal! :D

6. Yes, it has a little fan. |

It's battery powered though, in spite of the fact that the bike has an AC adapter. Go figure....
A few minutes at a time are all I can manage right now because the radius of the cranks is very long, so the legs have to make a pretty big motion just to pedal and that tires me out even with minimal resistance. But I can tell you that the higher resistance levels truly are going to be a challenge for quite some time to come. The thing is HUGE! With the seat at maximum extension I can barely pedal, so I had to move it in a notch. That really threw me for a loop because my old cheapo one I had was still too crowded even with the seat all the way out. I'm 6'2", so a rider pushing 7 feet would still fit on it, I think.
I think it was worth every penny of the $675. And as long as it will continue to hold me until I'm at or below the 300 lb. recommended limit, I think it will continue to do what I want it to for years. :)
