Ok, so I am trying to eat healthier...(I refuse to say diet ever again). Baby steps...breakfast was one egg, peanut butter toast & coffee...
lunch - ok I will have some soup...I grab a can of chunky chowder (ok the cream based part makes it more fattening) and it says 2 servings - serving size = 1 cup, so I measure it out... it is so small so I put it in a smaller mug to heat so it looks like more.
Then I think of every restaurant I have ever eaten at, the huge platters of food - no wonder I overeat. You know how you always want that extra bite or 2, then you think well its not enough for a doggie bag or I don't want to waste it... so you finish it off. I have to quit finishing off.
I know this is not a new revelation, but it makes me want to bring my own dishes to a restaurant and replate my food - 1/2 for now and 1/2 for later.
Happy New Year DU

| 1. it does suck indeed. I have a trick that helps me out, maybe it will help you as well. |

i have standard sized dinner plates and i also have salad plates that are much smaller, i eat off of those, smaller plate makes it look like you have more food and it gets you used to eating smaller portion sizes.
