As of last Saturday, my weight loss total is 47 pounds exactly. That's since I started Weight Watchers in September.
It's coming off more slowly now. In the beginning, I would lose 3 or 4 pounds per week (one time, I lost 6 pounds). Now, I have weeks when I follow the program exactly and don't lose a pound. Other times, I lose a pound or so ... sometimes 2.
The good news is that it is still coming off. But let me tell you: this is not fun. I am getting SO sick of writing down everything I eat and calculating all those points. I am hoping it'll be easier to stay motivated when spring comes.
After some slacking, I am back at the gym. That should help. But I still have about 35 pounds to lose to be where I want to be -- and Weight Watchers thinks I should lose 15 more than that. Yikes. If I take their advice, that would mean I am less than half done.
Has anyone here been on a weight loss program for a year or so? If so, how did YOU keep going?

I made it to goal on Weight Watchers once, making me a lifetime member. I even worked for them for awhile as a weigher/receptionist and considered becoming a leader. However, we had to weigh in every week and it was a struggle for me to keep the weight off (that was true for me every time I lost weight.)
To me, the only way to keep going is to consider whatever you're doing your new and permanent way of eating, not something that will end when you reach goal. There's plenty of evidence that after losing weight, you can gain weight on fewer calories than it took before, so you'll be fighting that, at least for awhile. I think you're right that the exercise will help. You sound like a strong, determined person! Good luck and congratulations! :applause:
