First the good news: 90 lbs. are gone |
|
The bad news is that my gut looks like a big deflated balloon. I am not sure this is a problem I can fix with sit-ups. And I can't afford plastic surgery.
Any suggestions?

1. It's possible that you need more time. |
|
But other than plastic surgery, I'm not sure there's anything you can do. My feeling is that your skin was always stretched out but now there's nothing under it! Better to be stretched and smaller than stretched and bigger! :)
Congratulations! :bounce!

2. Congratulations on the 90 lb. loss! |

I'm sorry about your tummy, though. Hopefully, in time your skin will slowly contract down a bit.
At least I hope so, because by the time I'm done I'm going to look like a big melted ball of - something. :scared:

4. Do you have insurance? |
|

If it remains for a while (I think it's a minimum of a year) it may qualify for a covered procedure, depending on how much excess skin there is. At a certain point, it's no longer plastic surgery and becomes a medical procedure.
No matter what, CONGRATULATIONS ON THE 90 POUND LOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6. That's true, It becomes "reconstructive surgery", especially |
|
if there is a particularly resistant kind of rash where the, um, folds fall. This is what I understand from my insurance co. anyway.

5. Wow! You are an inspiration! |

I can't imagine the amount of discipline it took to lose that much. How long did it take you?
I don't know about the tummy either but I imagine I'll be faced with a similar situation. I bought an ab roller at Target for $20. It's harder than those skinny little demo models make it look, but it's easier than crunches and probably more effective. Good luck!
