Its, I...I wasn't expecting this today, but anyways...I know she was a great contributor in here....and thought I'd put this in here....

1. Thanks for posting this here, petersond

This news really shocked me. I have been sitting here crying for the last hour since I discovered the GD thread. I had no idea that her condition had deteriorated so rapidly, or that she was going in for surgery in late January. I thought something might be up last weekend, as she missed posting her normal 3 day posts in Classic Films. Whenever she was feeling under the weather, we had an agreement that I would post for her. However, I hadn't heard from her, and thought that maybe something else was up. I just didn't put two-and-two together.

I am going to miss her greatly... we seemed to have a lot of the same interests. I always enjoyed reading her posts and PMs. She had the sweetest spirit and the gift of encouragement. There are a few DUers that I feel close to (you included), and she was one of them.

2. It shocked me too, last I heard

she was doing a lot better, this really....took me by surprise, I just found out about 20 minutes ago or so...

I will miss her greatly too, she along with quite a few members in here, greeted me with wide/warm open arms, its just a shock to me....

She was doing better no? She went to Chicago .. I am so in shock and heartbroken. Kendra had such a positive outlook.....this is so very very sad.

4. I've been welling up on and off for hours

She touched so many of us through many of the smaller forums she participated in. She was a wonderful spirit. She will be missed terribly

5. She was incredibly kind to me. Losing her has been very painful.

It's been a few days I've known now and I still can barely think of anything to say. I'm crushed.

My condolences to her family and to the whole of DU. We've truly lost one of our finest members.

6. I know what you mean,

I feel the same way, she was one of the first ones to welcome me here(WL Forum)...its heartbreaking.
