Down 2 lbs
I know that's not a lot, but I'm happy w/ it. Small changes are more easily sustained, so I know it's 2 lbs. I'm not going to gain back.

I have developed an addiction to tomato sandwiches. I have them on whole grain bread, so that's not too terrible, but there's no protein and given my compromised ability to absorb nutrients, I really need to concentrate on protein.

Oh well, native tomato season doesn't last all that long, and at least they have anti-oxidants. lol

2. great going!!
My downfall is that I LOVE vegetables, and I can't eat as much of them as I'd like to because of the protein issue.

I'm back on protein shakes/smoothies again. it is a never ending struggle, but i'm sure, like me you're very thankful for the 2nd chance we've got at a healthy life!

:yourock: MissMillie! keep up the good work.

3. Most excellent
That's two pounds you'll never see again. That's got to feel good. I recall that you're are having a tough time losing those last stubborn pounds. Just go crazy with the exercise, but don't hurt yourself. That's what I've started doing and the poundage is going away rapidly. But I am still rather big so maybe that wouldn't have the same quick affect on you.

I've found a good snack that's also good for you, but kind of expensive. They are sort of like candy bars, but not really. They are called Smart Zone by Hershy. They have tons of vitamins in them and 15 grams of protein. They have 200 calories. They taste just like a candy bar and there are some carbs, but I don't think it's too bad. They are $1-$1.50 depending on where you go.

4. hey Droopy
do they taste any good? I have tried SO many and just couldn't like any of them. Cliff Bars aren't too bad. I especially like the Lemon one.

Have you had the Hershey ones?

5. Yep they taste just like a candy bar. Just a little grainy
that's it. I eat two of them a day when I'm at work to keep me from the fast food. I've had the peanut butter/chocolate, peanut butter/chocolate crunch, and chocolate/brownie crunch. I've also seen key lime and blueberry, but I have not tried them.

8. Hey MissMillie!
2 lbs gone FOREVER! That is a fantastic accomplishment! And a very safe pace for your system.

What about melting some cheese on top of the tomato sandwich? That would add some protein, and be yummy! Wow. Fresh tomatoes- does it get much better? um-um-good!
