I'm ALMOST 25 pounds down.
Another .2 lbs. to go to get to that seemingly elusive first goal. Argh! I thought I was going to make it this week.
I went on a 2 hour walking tour yesterday through a driving rain. Hopefully, I'm a bit lighter (having dried off) and now know a bit more about Greenwich Village than I knew before. The weather is better today, so I'm planning another long walk mixed with a bit of shopping. :-) New York is such a wonderful walking city; there's always something new, or old, to see.

1. Wow, you're doing great!
I can't seem to lose any right now but I think I'm fighting the effects of being perimenopausal. In that case, not gaining is success at this point! :(

2. One thing I'm noticing is...
that I thought I would need WILLPOWER and that it would look like me trying to strangle a giant octopus. It really has been a continuing negotiating session with my rebellious little girl (or inner child, if you prefer). She wants something and I have her check the points and see if the food fits into her day. If it doesn't, I tell her that we can have that another time but we'll have to plan for it. She feels better knowing there's no forbidden food. And I give her something chocolate EVERY day.
I'm 51 so I suppose menopause is heading my way, but not quite yet.
