6. I just don't get it

Maybe I'm just that sheltered because my circle of friends gets it but I seriously don't understand how in 2007 people can think this way. I can't wrap my brain around that kind of knuckle-dragging nonsense. It's literally alien to me.

The condemnation of women dressing like "whores" in one breath and the exhortations to "tag" them in the next...gah.

7. I hear you--beyond nauseating.

I was on a sabbatical from GD for this very reason. I was fed up with the racist, sexist, gender biased bullshit. I happened upon the mess of the L. Craig situation of about a month ago, and felt compelled to jump into the fray and attempt to level some tolerance in the face of some of the most blatant cruelty I've seen on this board. I'm slowly but surely pulling out (of GD) again.

It's just not worth it to me to expend energy with people hell bent on being willfully ignorant and blatantly disrespectful. No one is going to convince me that every single person on this board with a donor star after their name is incapable of being a troll.

Anyone can watch this board long enough to figure their way around the rules--learn where to post and what kinds of things to say to increase their post count. Claims of progressive status and occasionally posting something fringing on the considerate, doesn't mean they are who or what they say they are. From where I sit they are still creeps. I don't expend much energy on such individuals in real life--why should I (or you)on-line?
