1. This IS an awesome group.
I love it here, too. I haven't even posted anywhere else in a couple of days.

2. Me too!
BTW, I think different is wonderful. I aspire to being individual and where I live that is considered different with a whisper behind the hand. Frankly I love it. People remember me when before they might not have and if they take the chance to actually get to know me then I almost always make a new friend.

Having been raised by a woman who hated and did not trust other women I have found that in my adulthood I really treasure other women and their company. It was a revelation to me, a joyous one. This group is full of people I am certain I would have a wonderful time with.

Thanks to all the strong women who were brave enough to put up with whatever they had to to make this group happen. :loveya:

4. Sisterhood really is powerful
and beautiful. And comforting and nurturing, and balm for the soul.

I crave the company of women. I think I could live quite easily in a community of women.

I love it here too.

5. Interesting you would say that.
As I have grown older I realized that same thing, I could easily live in a community of women. Unless you have a truly unique husband the trappings of "marriage" are unpleasant. I can't seem to feel totally comfortable in it.

I think I was in my 30's when finally it hit me.

6. about a year ago, i stopped to assess my life
i saw that, even though i know some wonderful men, my women friends are very prominent in my life. i seem to admire their efforts, empathize with their sorrows and celebrate their joys. i'm more inclined to read what a women has written than that of a man. i don't dislike men. they inspire, teach and support me, but i look to women for strength, for the ability to keep going.
