What it is, is a song by a heavy metal band. Otep, has a female lead singer who is extremely topical on a number of issues. The video uses one of OTEP's songs set to rape statistics, with disturbing background pictures some appear to be staged, some real.
Some of her lyrics are very disturbing as well, these are the lyrics to Ghost Flower

Dayum. I didn't want to click on it either but I did. Well done, with the overlay of stats. Jesusfuckingchrist will things ever change is all I can say. I remember trying to raise awareness of the rape culture back in college at a huge University. The conviction rate of rapists in that county in the early 80's was something like 12% and campus rape stats were extremely high, yet ignored by the institution.

You're right ismnotwasm, rape is a far more serious subject that should be discussed and given more attention to in this Group as well as in the larger forums of DU.

Unfortunately, all message boards turn to shit. Devolution happens and juvenile crap rules.
