I wish I could've seen the Moderator's remarks re locking. There was another I got locked a few days ago, but the Moderator said it was "flamebait." The subject line called (IIRC) Wes Clark some kinda whore, but there was a similarly critical thread about Kerry that somehow wasn't flamebait. There was another thread that was locked soon after I alerted on it too, some time prior to that, and again, the reason given was nothing to do with sexism. I'm terribly glad they're getting locked, but I don't understand why DU admin and moderators just can't bring themselves to actually point out to people the new rules that bitch, pussy and whore are no longer allowed. It's NOT everyone automatically "gets it" (intuits it) when their posts are deleted or their threads are locked.
