Limbaugh defended his use of term "feminazi" as "right" and "accurate"
I found this article from June 24 on Media Matters:

http://mediamatters.org/items/200506240002

Nationally syndicated radio host Rush Limbaugh defended his past use of the term "feminazi," calling it "right" and "accurate." Limbaugh's comments came in response to a June 22 Washington Post article on Sen. Richard J. Durbin's (D-IL) controversial floor statement that referenced Nazis. The Post article mentioned Limbaugh's use of the term "feminazi" as well as other examples of recent political debates in which Nazism has been invoked.

snip~~~

I haven't used that term on this program in years. But it still gets to 'em, doesn't it? And you know why? Because it's right. Because it's accurate. And I'm not going to apologize, but I will apologize if it hurts your feelings. But you know what? I think if you're offended, it's your problem. It's not mine.

snip~~~

Basically the Big Fat Liar says pro-choice women are like Nazi's because abortion is comparable to what happened to the Jews in WWII. Who knew this drug addicted, Cuban-cigar smoking millionaire was so in love with fetuses? How many kids does he have?

What a coincidence that so many newbies at DU use this exact language?

1. I really despise Rush Limbaugh.
His particular brand of proto-Rovian language mangling is so goddamned catchy among misogynists and neo-cons. I can remember male students calling me a "feminazi" in the seventh grade. I think it says a lot that he is STILL extremely popular among cerebral-cortext underdeveloped preteens. Sick.

2. And I defend my use of the term "junkie"
in referring to that bloated, egotistical, hateful gas-bag as perfectly right and accurate. Project much, there, Oxycontin-boy?

I wish his audience would think more about that issue. Addiction is addiction, but not all addicts have to steal, manipulate doctors and pharmacists or commit prescription fraud to get their fixes. I'm not saying that makes him worse than another kind of addict, or that addicts are in and of themselves "bad" people--but it's not like he spent one too many late nights at the bar or something. He's an addict and a criminal. Oxycontin isn't aspirin. It's one of the most addictive opiates in existence and one of the most addictive drugs anywhere. He needs long-term, serious professional help. And until then, maybe all the conservatives out there ought to take every statement that comes out of his mouth with a fat, fifty-lb. bag of salt, you know? Not that you'll ever get them to consider doing that. Hypocrites!
