Sadly, though, I think it will fall on deaf ears, or be met with strong resistance about "well if wimmen just stopped wanting SPESHUL RIGHTS...." and all of that men's net daily bullshit.

Sad that the people who need to hear (read) this message the most will be the ones to avoid the thread alltogether...although they have plenty of time to make tit jokes in the lounge and say "aw geeze, baby, lighten up..I'm just ooglin' yer juggs. Nutin sexist about that, honey."

Was is a resonse to the thread about racism? Cuz the two threads really show a sad contrast---everyone, just about, understands deeply the horrendous nature of racism and that it is intolerable. And then there are the many many who think the exact same attitudes of hate, the history of femicide, the ongoing hate and violence against women, are a lie, a joke, a turn on, a bunch of stupid whining women.....

3. Just so you know, DUers aren't much better on racism when it's

crunch time than they are about sexism. Might be able to TALK a good game, but the finer points of racism are completely lost on far too many.

I think DUers are just a lot better at hiding their racism than their sexism, but a quick look at the African American group and other groups that deal with race issues will show that they've had their fair share of run-ins with ignorant DUers as well.
