a military brass opened his mouth and out came "Lady" |
|
this morning, waiting for W.J. to come on, was watching the hearing on military recruitment, etc.
a question was asked about the rate of women enlisting going down.
one of the military suits said that the "ladies" were doing a fine job and he didn't think the stats meant that much and why, heck we just had our first "lady" stinger(?) pilot.
someone take this military suit aside and teach him how to say the word WOMAN. and practice saying 'woman' until it comes naturally to his tongue.

gol-durn ladylike and gentlemanly, what are they doing killing people in Iraq? This man needs some retraining and he needs it immediately. Does he serve tea to the women who work for him, open the door for them, stand whenever they come into the room? Words matter and this is not a social situation and these are not ladies. They are soldiers.
