Strong women's studies programs in the US? |
|
I'm interested in returning to grad school soon - possibly in social work, sociology, or law - and am especially interested in doing so at a university w/a strong women's studies program for the elective course opportunity.
Anyone aware of schools w/good faculty/research going on in this area?

for Women's Studies and they have tracks for Social Sciences and the Humanities.
That said, there are a few universities that have long histories of strong engagement with Women's Studies certifications or specializations. Can you give a better sense of your area of interest? Social work, sociology, and law are very different disciplines, but you want a school that is not only discipline-specific, but also has a sense of feminist community. You should probably look at schools like Michigan, Berkeley, Penn, Duke, Brown, Chicago, Santa Cruz, UT Austin, etc. They have, and foster, excellent feminist scholarship. I'll try to think of others.
