Is anyone here on the Feminists group going to be in NYC |
|
for the protest march? I'll know some of the other people there, but I'm wondering who I should look for whom I haven't met yet. :hi:

I will be travelling toward NY that day on our way to New England, but we probably won't get near the city until after the protest is over. (I might still try to get there early enough, but since we have to meet up with my husband's friend and we'll have two dogs with us, I doubt it'll happen.) Holler loudly for me, though!

Well, would you like to participate by helping me figure out what statement to make?
I have the following t-shirts,
1. Pro Child Pro Family Pro Choice (Big red and blue letters on white)
2. Homeland Security, Since 1642 (picture of three native american chiefs with rifles, black and white image, black bring on a gold tie-dyed shirt).
3. War Criminal (with picture of Bush, black and white picture, white print on black).
4. Polo shirt and slacks (look respectable for the cameras and polish our image a bit.)
5. Other (there will be tons of vendors selling good t-shirts, so you if you propose it, they'll be selling it).

That makes a great statement in and of itself.

Especially because I will be on crutches (because of my disability) I'm going to be a bit visible. I may not be a just a random person in the crowd, so it's important to plan some type of image.
But having a message is important too, so I haven't decided.
I guess I'm not a decider like our fearless leader. :P

7. Well, I'm kinda partial to #2. |
|
I'm leaning more towards message over image, and if I remember how it looks correctly, it doesn't make one look hippy-ish. :)
