3. I'm not sure but
that might have been by request. If anyone wants more info, they can PM me but you can probably figure out why she would request that.

Eloriel did post over at the Progressive Independent last I checked. I may be able to get in touch with her if anyone would like to get in touch. Either that or you could drop in to PI and catch her there. (I believe she goes by the same name but I'd have to check on that.)

4. I've been told she left that forum too.
Not TSed, but left of her own accord. I'm not sure where (if anywhere) she posts now...

6. Is there a connection?
Do you think she was banned becasue she opposed Skinner's decision? I'm not sure how voicing a contrary opinion violates DU rules.

7. I don't know. I hope not.
It was the latest post I found... but I probably did not do an exhaustive search.

9. She chose to leave-- was not banned
This was several cycles in the gender wars ago. Don't know her reasons. The recurring battles that go nowhere wear down many who give up and/or go away.

Will the Democrats realized the importance of women voters and women's issues to the Party's success? In time for November? What is the percentage of women who don't vote?

10. Currently on the Choice board, the disrespect for women is staggering.

11. Why are people even ON the Choice board, if they disrespect women?

12. It is truly disgusting.
Somehow, a woman who raped a young boy and got pregnant y him is now a shining example of why men should have a voice in our reproductive freedoms. There are two threads... one that asks if choice is only for men... and then the one about the woman raping the boy. The discussions became an attack against the court system that requires both people be responsible if the woman chooses to carry to term and raise the child. That somehow turned into a thread about men deserving to opt out if they don't want the responsibility. The problem seems to lie in the fact that, in the case of pregnancy, the woman gets the final say. Unfortunately, biology has angered some men. :eyes:

14. I can't stomach it either.
What I really can't understand is how those posts and threads are left standing while others that call them on their bullshit (mine and other people's) are deleted or locked. That is my issue. The Choice board is for pro-choice people and about Choice issues, not for those pushing a "pro-birth" stance.

15. Me too...

I gave up on that forum after posting a thread about my displeasure with the parental notification petitioners. I got ripped a new one by a forced birther or two. Thankfully, some other DU'ers jumped to my defense. I started to lurk there and noticed our perspective was in the minority enough of the time that I didn't care to chance it...

I'm so sorry Kerrytravelers that you weren't treated respectfully in that forum, and that your posts were deleted.:pals: I know how frustrating that can be when you are trying to get a point across.

16. Thanks! I know I always got my Duers like you to be there for me!
I've been deleted and locked quite a bit last week. I was getting so pissed, I took a few days off. It's sad that pro-choice women can't post on the Choice board and defend ourselves.

Thanks! Right back at you! :pals:
