1. That prosecutor is a real piece of work isn't she? |
|
Claiming that it would be unethical to bring charges in this case because it's unwinnable. She then goes into a convuluted explanation, full of tortured logic and contradictions, that poorly conceals her own judgement of the victim's behavior. Not to mention proving what a political hack she is, despite her protestations that she doesn't want to politicize her office.

...I wish I could say I've never heard of such a thing before. Rape vicims are told all the time their cases "cant be tried." :eyes: That the evidence collected is "inconclusive." The system is NOT kind to women that are assaulted.

3. It's impossible to have a stronger case. |
|
There are witnesses. Isn't the lack of witnesses one of the excuses we always hear for why rape cases are never prosecuted?
The victim was unconcious. There's no question about consent.
What more could that prosecuter possibly need? :wtf:

5. If they got off their asses and interviewed all the guys at that party |
|
I'll bet they could even get that. x(
If they're not prosecuting this case, it's because they don't want to. Somewhere at the top people have discussed this and decided that rape needs to be swept under the rug.
More people will be enraged if those men get tried than if the women get no justice. That, in itself, is the sickest and saddest part of all of this.

"Nifonged".
(Which you all understand is a 180 definition from how it's being used in GD.)
