Should the rude pundit be linkable on DU?

I am not the first one to raise this issue, I know. Nearly every post I see linked from there has something that seems to be against DU rules ... and as others have pointed out, we don't link to white supremacy sites - even if we agree with them on a particular issue or essay they have on their site, nor do we allow links to anti-semitic sites. But we're allowed to link to a site that has entries like, for example, his 6/27/2007, or the 5/23/2007 entry. If those columns aren't blatantly misogynistic hate speech, I don't know what is.

I just looked him up. Under my radar evidently. No he shouldn't be linked. He is about what I expect from a male blogger who thinks words like "pussy" and "c***" and references to various sex acts in various combinations have some sort of shock value. (look at ME! I'm so bold) Maybe they do, but not in my world and I imagine part of his readership consists many of 20-40's somethings males who are continual looking for an opportunity to justify sexist hate speech. (Free speech! they scream-- and I think I would love to free speech but all you all are keeping it in a misogynist haven)

I just can never believe shit like that ... there should be an exception to the rule that it is unacceptable to use women's body parts, the ones that define us as women and all, as epithets to degrade women, with all the objectification and dehumanization that it involves, when your target is really really deserving of being degraded and dehumanized ... and just happens to be a woman.

Male logic, do you suppose?

4. Let's be clear -- one of his recent pieces featured snuff

aimed at Anne Coulter -- and the DU thread in which that was excerpted was, mercifully, deleted. It was some of the vilest hate speech I've ever seen.

The same DUer who posted the snuff has now posted another piece from Rude Pundit. I don't know if IT contains snuff or not, but it too has plenty of sexism in it. Why is that acceptable? I have to ask again and again: would links to sites replete with racial slurs be tolerated? Or anti-Semitic? or homophobic slurs? Why then are links to sites replete with gender slurs allowed?

I think it's a very good point, lwfern.
