It came out on DVD Tuesday.
I liked it a lot. It wasn't so much about soccer, but about the Hooligans. Sure, it glamorized them. But only in the way Reservoir Dogs glamorized bank robbing, professional criminals who torture cops. Actually, it's better. It has a heart.
Elijah Wood has become a great young actor. And I'm not talking about Lord of the Rings. This movie and Everything is Illuminated are both set in foregin countries (EII is in the Ukraine), and they both first rate. My brother reminded me about Sin City, too.
Anyway, this is a highly recommended film. I seem to do that, and people point things out that are not so great. Maybe I'm just a bad movie critic, or maybe I'm not this time. The only way I know how to tell is if you watch the movie and tell me what you think.

| 1. I thought you were making a report from Germany at the World Cup! |

Telling us that you spotted some "Green Street hooligans"... ;)
Another good soccer movie (but obviously not in the Quentin Tarentino style): "Victory", starring Michael Caine, Sly Stallone, and Pele.
