Greg Ryan got fired. Yeah!

I don't usually wish bad things for people. But this was necessary for the USA womens' program. Ryan reminded me of these volunteer parents who coach youth league who never played and were never really coached themselves, so all they did was have people kick and run. What a disaster. His record was a fraud built upon scheduling inferior teams regularly. His instincts were all wrong. See Tiffany Milbrett and Hoope Solo. Just good riddance.

That being said, he was doomed from the outset with no WUSA. Many of his key players would have benfitted a lot from that league. The year 2007 has proven without question that womens soccer need a top tier domestic league real bad--like fire needs air.
