I am going fishing in the northernmost part of the USA without actually being in Canada. I will be without phone, internet or television. We will see where we stack up against the top of the table. Good luck to the reds!

Not sure how much of the match you ultimately saw, but it was a pretty even game in my opinion. Liverpool did look rather toothless though, which must be a huge worry. That's three defeats in the league already.
There are (of course as vultures soar ever above) many fingers being pointed regarding Liverpool's form this season. I would be interested in your opinion on the following:
Not enough attacking options: They are FAR too reliant on one frontline striker.
Lucas simply not good enough: It is easy to pick on Lucas, but this drumbeat has continued for sometime now. Ex-Red John Aldridge put it very bluntly last week. Lucas is simply not up to it. Playing Lucas next to Mascherano also seems quite negative. When Xabi Alonso played there he dictated tempo and rarely gave the ball away. Lucas isn't in that class yet (and perhaps never will be). Aquilani's debut can't come soon enough.
Jamie Carragher's alarming form: Carragher is a Liverpool great, but, my goodness, his form is shot to pieces. The errors he has made this season have cost Liverpool dearly. Should the unthinkable happen? Should Carra be dropped when Agger returns?
George Gillett blaming Benitez: All this uncertainty at boadroom level can't help. Gillett and Hicks obviously loathe one another. There are constant rumours of Middle-East investment. After promising "a spade in the ground within 60 days" there is still no sign of the promised new stadium. It is reaching soap-opera proportions. At the week-end Gillett blamed "the coaching and scouting" for the team's relatively poor performance, but the lack of stability behind-the-scenes surely can't help.
I am a Newport County fan (top of the Blue Square South! Yay! I know it won't last, but, Yay anyway!) but have always had a soft spot for Liverpool, being a big admirer of the tradition and history of the club. It all seems so uncertain there at the moment. You could probably get decent odds on Benitez not being boss there next season, which is desperately sad.

We need a striker like Villa or Silva. Everything goes through the middle for us. If you play 4-5-1 Gerrard can't get the ball forward to Torress. We can't play him in the hole because of the weak midfield. I don't think Lucas is good enough to wear the Red shirt. I hope he improves but I don't see it. Alonso can be replaced by Aqualini but he needed to be fit in August not November. That is Rafa's mistake.
I love Carra but his legs are gone and he needs to be replaced. I think we should have kept Sami and Danny Murphy but what do I know.
We could have added Shawcross, Turner or Cattermole in the summer. Again the money was not there.
Gillett is a fucking muppett. We need to reduce the debt and sell the club. Who well sell to bothers me as well. Oil sheiks or Russian mobsters? They seem to be the only ones with the $. I just hate to see football clubs as play toys for the rich but that is what they are.
LFC is not like other football clubs. That is not slating other clubs or their fans it is just a fact. The origin of the club with the Everton split, then you throw the 96 into that mix and you have a set of fans that demand respect for LFC. They have literally lived and died with LFC. That has it's own set of problems. I did not grow up in Liverpool and I will never be a true Liverpool fan in some eyes. Fair enough but I refuse to see LFC disgraced in the manner in which it is being disgraced now. Benitez will go if this keeps up and Torress will follow.
I don't follow the lower leagues because I can't watch them. Maybe someday in the states we will be able to pick what we watch but that seems a long way off. Maybe someday people will pay to watch Derby v Scunthorpe united. FYI I would love to see Rebecca Lowe doing Crystal palace matches:)
Congrats on Newport county-
Cheers!
