Leeds knocks out Manchester U from FA Cup |
|
Leeds is currently on top of League One, looking to advance to the Championship for next season. The Premier League the season after that? http://www.usatoday.com/sports/soccer/2010-01-03-1995007155_x.htm

I was starting to think that we weren't going to get a single cup upset in the 3rd round this year. Thank goodness for Leeds United. They completely deserved it too. Sir Alex had his usual rant at the final whistle, which is always amusing.
Not even 'Fergie Time!' (as the Leeds fans termed it) could save him this time!

Man U were poor. L**ds were the better side.
Question is, can they hold on to Jermaine Beckford?

3. Not if this morning's papers are to be believed |

Newcastle appear to be in pole position to sign him. Might get him for a decent price too.

Arsenal are oozing class right now. They are the James Bond of the Premier League (and I'm talking Connery here). Saw them against West Ham, and they are SO easy on the eye at the moment.
I'd take an Arsenal title win any day over the dull, efficient Chelsea, or the Faustian Manchester United (I'm sure Sir Alex sold his, and the clubs, soul, for the success they have experienced over the last twenty years or so).
Enough said about Liverpool the better.

but from what I heard the Hammers put up a good fight. On the bright side though I didn't have to see poor Zola's sad face. It would have sapped some of my enjoyment of the win I'm sure... I like Zola.
The Arsenal's young guns sure are developing very nicely. :)

Have to prove they can play a physical side and win. I like the brand of football they play. Wenger grew up watchin Spanish football so that is no surprise. The problem always is can they handle a rough and tumble game. With the pitches icy that slows them down as well.
United were outplayed from start to finish. The shine has finally come off of Slur Alex this season. Fergie time is real there are stats to back it up but his influence on the game is waining. In my opinion United will be just another side when he goes. I don't like him or his methods but he gets results.
Liverpool are a mess but Rafa is not going anywhere. He has been buying younger and younger stars to get them into Melwood so that they qualify when the new rules come in about "foreign" players.
The finances of football are shambolic and something drastic needs to be done to keep the Russian mob, Chelsea and the oil sheiks, City from ruining the game.
