Arsenal at home to Man Utd. this weekend |
|
This might actually be an entertaining match.
Odds favor the Gunners at home but Rooney has been on a tear...
Meanwhile my beloved Liverpool soldier on. Injuries have killed us this year and trading Alonso was a huge mistake. Let's hope Benayoun and Torres can get back into the line-up soon and salvage a top-four spot.

1. Disappointingly lopsided. |
|
The entire body language of Arsenal seemed defeatist from the first goal. Wenger sitting there with his arms crossed, players shaking their heads and throwing their arms up. The rest of the game played out as self-fulfilling prophesy.

3. From the first goal? From the first whistle. |
|
Nobody even showed up besides Arshavin.
They just didn't want to win.

6. Crisp passing? What game were you watching? |
|
All right... compared to other teams the passing was decent I guess... but I know Nasri and Denilson were giving the ball away with alarming regularity.

The agent of Milan Jovanovic claims his client is not on the verge of signing a pre-contract agreement with Liverpool. Reports earlier in the week had suggested that the Serbian playmaker was close to committing his future to the Reds and was expected to form part of Rafa Benitez's squad in 2010/11. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_5917446,00.htmlGo you Reds!

With three important matches against the Villains, ManU, and Chelsea, you'd think they be able to do more than get a single point out of the whole series.
I missed the ManU game, but got up early to watch the Chelsea match at 8:00 A.M. Pacific Time. I should have stayed in bed...it was 2-0 Blues before I even finished my coffee.
No, I'm not a Gunners fan (I would be predisposed to like them because of Freddie Ljungberg, but they part-own the Colorado Rapids, one of the Sounders' main rivals, so that's right out), but I am a fan of close, hard-fought games with the outcome in doubt until the final whistle -- and that's definitely what we didn't get Sunday.
(I guess, on the bright side, the way Chelsea has been dismantling EPL clubs recently makes me feel better about the drubbing the Sounders took from them in a friendly last July. We actually did a better job hanging with them than a couple Barclay's sides did in games I've seen recently, and certainly didn't get outplayed much worse by them than Arsenal just did.)

Let's hope today that it's a matter of pride, and they find their old form.
Cause seriously... wtf.
