But, in FIFA's defense, it's usually decades before the same country gets the World Cup twice. Mexico 1986 was a fluke because Colombia bowed out due to financial reasons; Mexico just hosted World Cup 1970. Italy, France, and Brazil had to wait 50+ years for a 2nd chance. Only Germany had a short wait with 32 years. Also, for a country (same for Canada) for whom soccer football is "meh", they're not going to the top of the list any time soon.
