What a college football season so far

Of course its only six weeks old, but the upsets and great games the past few weeks are making this one hell of a season. Of course the upsets is pretty clear evidence that parity is spreading and that rankers rely far too much on the past strength of a program rather than the actual play of the current team. Why USC is still a top ten team after losing to Stanford is beyond me. How they can be ranked in front of the Ducks, who crushed that same team, makes even less sense.

This season started with the Michigan upset, kept dragging the Irish through the losses and throws another great game or two out each weekend and an upset. This is a great year to be a college football fan.

1. It really has been an amazing year

and another top 5 team went down last night when Rutgers beat USF. I think the people on ESPN said that teams ranked in the top 3 are only 15-5 this year. It's crazy!
