| Suddenly developing a football interest... |
|
I spent most of the past 26 years of my life with little interest in team sports, but now all of a sudden I'm beginning to take an interest in it. The big question is: how much background knowledge about today's college and pro teams do I need to study up on so that I don't come across as a bumbling idiot at the football games this season?

| 1. Best to watch a few weeks of games on TV, pay little attention to |

the blather on the NFL channel or ESPN. Watch the Fox PreGame show , though - they are pretty good in comparison, and sometimes informative. NFL Network is pretty much a waste of time. I don't follow College football, but this year's pro season is starting out very well, and it should be an exciting and interesting season.
Good time to start. Enjoy yourself.
