| Vikings fans can come in here to vent and rant. |

Here's mine:
Jimmy Johnson is right. You can't keep trying to win by not paying anyone ANYTHING. Fire the entire staff, replace with Jim Fassel and whichever O-coordinator he wants. Fire Ted Cottrell and hire SOMEONE who has a fucking clue.
After watching these first two HORRENDOUS games, I think this team may have missed the window that had been open for it while Randy Moss was here. Perhaps with decent coaching and some minor personnel changes, success could have been produced. Right now, however, I don't see any light at the end of this tunnel. I'm predicting 6-10, and frankly I don't see where we'll get the 6 wins.
This season is going to be a VERY long one indeed.

| 1. If you can't pay a coordinator more than your head coach, |
|
and your head coach is the lowest paid one in the league...
Well, you get 0-2.

THere isn't a person on that team that would have his job on ANY other NFL team. THe exception being maybe Cotrell, but I highly doubt it after giving up 500+ yards to the Bengals.

| 3. Yesterday was the ugliest Vikes loss I've seen |
|
in thirty-five years of following the team. It was worse than 41-0 in the Meadowlands. It was worse than the loss to Atlanta in 1999. It was not only painful but horrible to watch. The Bengals do have some decent players and a top-shelf head coach in Marvin Lewis, but Carson Palmer has no business looking like Troy Aikman in his prime at this point in his career.
Culpepper looks as if he has absolutely no idea what is going on, and they can't run the ball for sour owl crap. Geez, just give it to Moe Williams and let him get 3.5 yds per carry. Moe will NOT drop the football and is strong enough to bull out something each rush.
Is it that Daunte has never seen anything but Cover-2 defenses? I mean, he threw 39 touchdowns last hear, and this year he looks like Ryan Leaf. This isn't just Culpepper's fault, this is a major failing of the coaching staff, for which Tice is responsible. Clearly, there is something major wrong with the preparation and game-planning.
ARRRRGH! Good thing it's Talk Like a Pirate Day.......

| 4. I literally watched the first quarter and then switched to the Twins game |
|
At least the Twins only lost 2-1 yesterday.
The first quarter of this game was reminiscent of games during the Les (much less, please) Steckel era.
Oh, and FIRE TICE NOW.

| 5. Is it even worth getting upset at this point? |

the coach is clueless, The quarterback is throwing games, the ownership has sucked for years and years, oh well at least I still got Nebraska on Saturdays, and they way have looked so far this year... Oh God I am so f*cked;)

| 6. Your'e in rough shape. |

I feel your pain though. I'm straight Minnesota professional sports and this year was anything but stellar so far. T-WOlves blew, Twins couldn't score a run if you spotted them a baserunner on third, and so far the Vikings look like Snoop Dog's little league squad.
Now, if the Gophers get blasted by the Boilermakers AGAIN, I'm going to sell my television.
