but God, I hate to see them quit like this. TexAgs.com is in major meltdown mode. This is a mismatch (Fran and Aggy) made in hell.
As for Callahan-I think Coach Tom is already politicking for his release and replacement.

First year struggles, OK, I can live with that. Change of scheme, etc. No problem. It was to be expected. Last year, there were signs of life. I could see the team turning around. I was thinking 7 or 8 wins and bowl game this year.
But this year, the team has regressed. It looks slow and out-manned. Plainly put, the defense is horrible. We've given up damn-near 100 points in two weeks. We're ranked near the bottom in team defense. I'm used to ranking in the top 20, if not the top 10.
I hate to say it but Coach Fran's karma for the way he left Alabama might be coming back to bite us in the ass.
I've never been this disgusted by an A&M team. At least other teams that had mediocre records were competitive, and played hard.

I have not seen this "Savior" that Fran was supposed to be.
And Torbush could not put a defensive scheme together to stop a girl scout troop.
It is time to cut our losses and get something better, At least with Slocum they went to a bowl game.

Aside from Texas and Tech, Baylor is on the way up. TCU is good.
Sigh...I fear this will take years to recover from. :argh:
