| Can anyone explain about those energy efficient light bulbs? |
|
Ok. I couldn't get an answer at my local hdw store.
What's the difference in these...
1. Bulbs with a twisty element. Kinda looks like a creamy whip. I have 2 of these in my bathroom. First I've bought and I really like them. They don't come on instantly and at first they're quite dim, but they brighten up in about 15 seconds. Two 40 watters that use I think about 18W each.
2. Same as above except that the element is 3 or 4 upright loops. Is there any advantage/disadvantage to these as opposed to #1? What's the difference?
3. These have a separate base and I guess you just replace the element but use the same base? How are these different?
I'd use these bulbs throughout my home if I could make an informed decision as to which to get.
Help / links would be appreciated. thanks.
