I was so happy to find Corelle Winter Holly dishes and bowls. We're donating our plastics. Thin Corelle is just the ticket for lightweight dishes that can also go into the dishwasher. Here's a picture I found on the web. I found 7 dinner dishes and 8 bowls. We're off to a good start.

And I picked up a ceramic Santa boot - the first in my little collection. When I get a few they'll look cute gathered together with candy canes inside.
I also found a single cotton sheet set with calico flowers that reminded me of old flower sack fabric in red, yellow and green. They'll be used for window curtains in the mudroom. Then I found an old plaid woolen blanket like the ones I remember on baby carriages in winter. I like to keep one in the car for chilly knees.
Last but not least was a watercolor picture someone painted as a Christmas gift in 1966. Since it was senior day I didn't pass it up at half price - 2 bucks. Here it is, it's just so silly and fun. It's sitting on top of this computer, cupboard desk.

Merry Christmas to all you frugals!
