| Why does DU have two frugal (progressive) living groups? |
|
Here's one another group of us founded last year: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=255We refer to frugal, energy efficient and green living as "progressive living", but it's the same idea.

The other group has a more political bent. This group is to share frugal ideas out of necessity. No politics involved. So, if someone wants to buy cheap and not necessarily green or blue or progressive - no comments or questions asked.
That's my take on it. Perhaps others would have different ideas.

Perhaps one day, the admins will decide to combine them. For now, I for one would like not to have to be concerned about being lectured on blueness etc. and was happy when some folks wanted to get this group going. No offense intended.

we got started out of a couponing thread,so we tend to lean that way also....and yes, don't want to get lectured about buying what others may term "unhealthy" or etc. Wouldn't bother me to combine the two if the majority of both are cool with it.
