I would love it. It makes far too much sense. (Why can't my shower water drain into a holding tank to be used to flush the toilet? The power for a small pump would be far less than the power to clean all that water.)
And that's just the sort of thing that would thrill my kitties, who think that sitting on the back of the toilet and saying "Whatcha DOOOOING?!?" is helping.
After all, all things must serve the Masters.

| 3. And kitchen sink water, too |

all this water should be routed to the toilet tank, long as you don't have pets who like to drink the toilet water...

i guess i'd want to see it in action
i thought the holding tank water is what flushed down the black water and with the low flow toilets here in AZ one flush even won't do the trick sometimes
what am i missing here?

First, the water is cold. Second - how can you suds up and have a good rinse? Washing up after using the bathroom is pretty important and I don't see how this promotes getting a good job done.

| 6. agreed (though I don't mind the cold water) |
|
but as I looked at it closer I guess it's using the gray water from your hand wash to flush the black water down
it might be handy in a shop location though...

| 7. So if you use soap it goes into the tank and then the bowl? |
|
Wouldn't the soap eventually create a scum in the tank or the line leading to the toilet bowl? I mean cold water and all, the soap might start to stick. Unless it's not meant to be used without soap. In that case, it's definitely not for me. Especialy with such a limited time to use the water.
There was a thread about this over in Gen Discussion recently. I was pretty blunt there, too.

| 9. Me too about the splashing! |
|
Btw, I meant to type "if it was meant to be used without soap". I slipped a double negative in there by mistake. Too late to change it.

the little toilet tank cleaning things that you just put in the tank would keep the soap from building up in the tank and bowl? My water is so hard that it might as well have soap in it, lol.

| 12. Cold cleans just as well, |
|
just isn't as comfortable. But I understand if you prefer that. In my bathroom it takes so long for the hot water in the sink to warm up that I could waste a lot of water in the process of just heating it, so I'm used to cold. As far as having time to thoroughly wash your hands, i would imagine given the normal length of time it takes for a toilet to refill the tank that you would have sufficient time to wash. You would probably have even more time b/c the water would first have to go through the faucet, which from the picture looks like a pretty small opening.
