Force India stood by their Formula One driver Adrian Sutil after he was warned against the nightclub incident in China last month, said a Reuters report on Tuesday.
Known to be the fastest on the grid, German Formula One driver Adrian Sutil was involved in a fight last month. The incident took place at a party where Hamilton was celebrating his Chinese Grand Prix victory in Shanghai's exclusive M1NT nightspot.
A row erupted between the 28- year-old German and Eric Lux, chief executive of Genii Capital, which owns Lotus Renault, the Dailymail reported. The incident also involved a friend and former team mate of Sutil's in junior series. According to witnesses, Sutil, 28, apparently glassed a Formula One boss, which left him bleeding from a neck wound.
Lewis Hamilton, the British Formula One driver had to be escorted from a nightclub after the clash, said a report in The Times. Earlier while apologizing, Sutil had said "At the event, which I attended as a private person, something happened which was a very unfortunate action on my part. I injured another person completely unintentionally."
