The 31-year-old Raikkonen will drive the No.15 Toyota for Kyle Busch Motorsports. He tested with the team during the first week of April. Raikkonen will also join former F1 competitors Nelson Piquet Jr. and Max Papis in the 36-truck field at Charlotte.
"I am really excited to have the opportunity to start my venture into NASCAR with Kyle Busch Motorsports," Raikkonen said last month when he signed with the team. "I look forward to being a part of a team that has proven to be a winner on and off the race track."
Raikkonen, the 2007 F1 titleholder, is presently competing for a World Rally Championship with his ICE 1 Racing team. The Finn notched 18 wins and 62 podium finishes during his nine-year career in F1.
He is expected to compete in additional truck races for KBM this year.
"We've sent him a few videos the past couple of years of truck racing at Charlotte," Busch said. "He'll get a good view of what to expect with the in- car stuff, listening to throttle control, how much you're on the gas and how to race people."
